Yes. Your prayer journal, Bible notes, app choices and schedules are stored on your phone, and Prayer Latch never sends your prayer text or the names of your locked apps to its analytics.
Prayer is personal. Prayer Latch is designed to keep it that way, and the privacy policy explains every detail. Here's the plain version.
What stays on my phone?
- Your prayer journal and saved prayers
- Bible highlights and notes
- The apps you chose to lock and your lock times
- Latch's progress and your settings
What is sent online?
Personal prayers, only if you ask for one. If you request a personal AI prayer, the mood and relationship you picked, your language and, optionally, your gender are sent securely to generate it. The prayer comes back to your phone. Built-in prayers work offline and send nothing.
Usage analytics, which you can turn off. When analytics is on, Google Analytics for Firebase receives things like which screens were used and whether a permission was granted. It never includes prayer text, Bible notes, messages, names, or which apps you locked. Turn it off in Prayer Latch Settings.
Crash reports on Android. Android release builds send crash reports so bugs can be fixed. They contain technical details about the crash, not your prayers or notes. The iPhone app doesn't include a crash reporter.
Purchases. Apple or Google handle payment. Prayer Latch never sees your card details.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, email or password. Prayer Latch works as soon as you install it. If you contact support through Chat with us in Settings, that conversation is private to you and the support team.
Does Prayer Latch show ads or sell data?
No ads, no advertising IDs, and no selling of personal data.
Can Prayer Latch see what I do in other apps?
No. On iPhone, Apple's Screen Time system doesn't even tell the app which apps you picked. On Android, the Accessibility service only checks which app just opened, on your phone, without saving it or reading anything on screen.
How do I delete my data?
Your local data is removed when you clear it in the app or uninstall. For anything else, email admin@janusworks.dev and the team will verify it's you before deleting it.
Pray before you scroll
Prayer Latch locks your chosen apps each morning until you pray. Your first 7 days are free, no card needed.
