Christian app blockers differ mainly in when they ask you to pray: Prayer Latch asks once each morning, while apps like prayer lock: christian focus, Sanctum and Holy Focus show a prayer or verse whenever you open a blocked app, and GodTime adds one-tap blocking for church and Bible study.
All of these apps share a good idea: put God in the moment you'd otherwise reach for a distraction. Details about other apps come from their Google Play listings as of October 2026. Prices and features change, so check before you subscribe.

Morning lock or every-open interruption?
A morning lock (Prayer Latch) gives God the first moment of your day. After you pray, your apps are open until the next lock time, so you're not interrupted again and again. This suits people whose worst habit is the first-thing-in-the-morning scroll.
An every-open interruption (Sanctum, Holy Focus and prayer lock) shows something each time you reach for a blocked app. That suits people who drift back to their phone all day.
You can get some of both with Prayer Latch by adding extra lock times, like noon or evening.
What about privacy?
Any Android app blocker needs the Accessibility permission to see which app is opening. Look for a clear explanation of what the app does and doesn't read. Prayer Latch only checks the name of the app that opened, on your phone, and never saves or sends it. On iPhone, Apple's Screen Time system doesn't let any of these apps see which apps you picked.
What do they cost?
Prayer Latch gives you 7 free days with no card, then $4.99 a month or $24.99 a year; its Bible, prayers and journal stay free. prayer lock's listing says its features require a subscription. Sanctum lists in-app purchases from $3.99 to $39.99 on Google Play. Check each store listing for current prices in your country.
Pray before you scroll
Prayer Latch locks your chosen apps each morning until you pray. Your first 7 days are free, no card needed.
